Our staff has over 40 years of combined property management experience. We are building our company by hiring the best people in the business.  Things change, but it all comes back to people.  It’s our team, from our housekeeper, lead maintenance, and property managers to property supervisor who have made The Conerly Group what it is today.  

 

Heather & Shawn Conerly

Co-Founders

In 2005, Shawn Conerly started Conerly Financial Management LLC.  Conerly Financial Management LLC managed the rental process: Locating and screening tenants, handling maintenance issues, collecting rent, and more for single-family properties.   In 2016, after years of experience in single-family management, Shawn & Heather Conerly set out to build The Conerly Group, LLC.

The Conerly Group is a family-owned and operated investment and property management company focused on operating profitable multi-family properties in the Greater Houston area.  Shawn & Heather wanted to create a company that operated with the highest integrity and character in delivering high quality services to residents and investors in multi-family real estate.  They create and enhance communities from the inside out. Their communities include high-quality amenities and meticulously groomed grounds, but go beyond the exterior and look for ways to positively change their resident’s lives. We hire staff that shares the same commitment to serve our residents and the greater community.

Since 2016 Heather and Shawn have led their team in the acquisition, renovation, and operation of 3 apartment communities in the Greater Houston area totaling 165 units.

Tory Jenkins

Property Supervisor

Tory Jenkins started in the multi-family industry in 2004 in Florida.  She started as a renovations supervisor at a four-apartment community, totaling 750 units. Tory started helping on the weekends as a leasing consultant and the company began to meet and exceed their corporate goals. In 2006 Tory moved to Texas to oversee the renovations of their Texas properties. Tory was involved in budget planning, scheduling, ordering supplies, capital expenses and the maintenance staff. In 2016, Tory joined The Conerly Group as property manager of their first Houston asset.  She continued to manage all new acquisitions and was promoted to Property Supervisor in 2018. Tory has an incredible and unique knowledge on how to build relationships with residents and team members while having a powerful understanding on how to run a successful property.  Tory earned her Certified Apartment Manager designation in 2017, continued her education with her Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor course in December of 2019 and was a Houston Apartment Association Supervisor of the Year finalist in 2019, 2020 & 2021.  Properties under Tory’s management were awarded the 2021 Better Business Bureau (BBB) Awards for Excellence.

Tory is proud that her career allows her to work with people.  Tory says “I absolutely love what I do and seeing families proud of their homes, watching their children grow up and eventually leasing them their first apartment…it just doesn’t get better than that”.
